NAFSCOB introduced a ‘Scheme of Annual Performance Awards’ to District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) from the year 2008 – 09. The performance awards to DCCBs is intended to promote a meaningful and healthy competition among the DCCBs and provide an impetus to their functioning. As in the case of SCBs, the DCCBs are also required to provide data/information on the identified parameters of performance through a structured questionnaire to the respective SCBs. The SCBs in the state are required to assess the performance basing on the data/information supplied by the individual DCCBs in their state and recommend one DCCB for award.
NAFSCOB, at the national level will further assess the performance of DCCBs as recommended by the respective SCBs and recommend DCCBs for first, second and third prize at the national level. The details of the winning banks are as follows :
